Best kind of living.
For me, island living is the best way and kind of living there could ever exist. Every thing about it is just perfect. And if you are interested in knowing why i love island living so much and why i promote it every chance i get, then i suggest you to keep on reading this post. It's notw that long of a post, but i promise you'll enjoy it!
To start off, i was born and raised on a very beautiful island in the caribbean, Curacao to be exact. And ever since i was younger i always wished and loved the idea of having my own house right next to a beach. Also i would always and still picture myself laying on my hammock, watching the sun go down while drinking some coconut water with that perfect someone right next to me, just perfect right?!
But most of us when we hit puberty, everything about us start to change, including our way of thinking and seeing certain things around us or life. I started to feel as if i was trapped, i wanted more and felt that there was nothing more to offer on the island. That feeling of wanting to go somewhere else, to travel, to explore and to just be the free spirit that i am, was killing me on the inside!
As i started to know myself better and to embrace myself as the 'free spirited' person that i am, my love for island living grew strong again. Because as i embraced myself i started to notice the freedom and beauty that comes with island living, which is that one thing i always longed for the most, but was too blinded by my own personal hell to notice sooner.
How can i not love waking up in the morning and having my skin kissed by that perfect fresh breeze of morning air while hearing the birds sing outside!? What's there not to love about watching the sunrise in the morning, soaking some vitamin D inbetween the day, then watching it set in the afternoon? Also, where else in the world could you ever consider to take a break from your daily routines, to just go for a walk or run and to take a dip in the sea!? There are soooo many fun things to do and so many ways to enjoy island living, like for example going on a road or boat trip with friends and or family, mountain climbing, camping, snorkeling or just a simple alone and "you" time somewhere quiet and relaxing. And that is why i don't get how some people say that island living is such a "bore" and that living in bigger cities is way better, i think not!

I mean yes, ofcourse when living in larger cities you have better opportunities to succeed in life and to make something out of yourself, but on the other hand it can also be very stressful and depressing. So i would much rather have my goals reached on a slower pace, than feeling all stressed and depressed and not being able to explore and enjoy life like i'm supposed to. And this islandly kind of living brings joy, peace of mind, relaxion and a boost towards finding yourself, to every one who decides to embrace this beautiful kind of living. Which basically is one of the things that's happening to me right now and which i must admit that i'm enjoying every single bit of this journey.
Island living is the BEST way and kind of living there could ever exist!
