First of all i want to wish you a very happy New Year! And remember to put your dreams and thoughts into a positive existence, because only you have the power and ability to do so!

Curaçao is that one place that i will forever call home, no matter where i travel to or live. I really consider myself so lucky that i get to call this paradise, surrounded by crystal clear blue waters and also where the sun is always shining, my home!

But, before i continue i want to give you a small introduction about Curaçao. 'Curadise' [Capital: Willemstad] like most of us call it, is a multi-cultural island situated in the southern Caribbean sea, right next to Bonaire and Aruba[the ABC Islands]. We have a tropical climate with a sunny weather all year round and some occasional rain too, mostly between October and December. Here on the island we officially speak 'Papiamentu' which is a spanish creole language with admixtures of Portuguese and Dutch, other official languages spoken on the island are Dutch, English and Spanish. And some f the locals can also speak fluent German, French, Mandarin and so on. The island is well known for it's natural St. Anne Bay, iguanas, clean breath-taking beaches and coral reefs where you can dive and snorkel, colorful downdown, Curacao Blue Liquor, the cnsjf and the best local carnival. Oh and i can't forget to mention that i am beyond proud to say that we have some of the best sports-man and woman, known worldwide!

Every single thing about this island is what makes it perfect and unique. No matter if it's good or bad, we as locals embrace our flag, people and island . Starting from the history, the government, economy and tourism to the culture, traditions, education, food and attractions. And i must say that most of us as the bon yu'i Kòrsou set aside our differences when it comes to the progress and well being of our dushi Kòrsou, because it's a treasure here in the carribean and is also all we have which ofcourse needs to be taken cared of!

When staying on the island i suggest you to make a roadtrip to banda abou! There you can go hiking, mountain climbing, swimming or just sightseeing and ofcourse there are many perfect spots waiting to be discovered and photographed. Then you should go for a walk downtown and take a look at the handelskade who is famous for its beautiful and vibrant colored buildings [see on picture]. There are also many stores and the Venezuelan floating market to shop at, and no ,they're not that expensive either. When you're done sightseeing in the city, you should go for lunch at the plaza in punda where they sell great local food. There are so many more places that you can visit, like for example some of our national parks, museums, farms and also allot of fun activities to do like quad riding and nightclub dancing when on the island. I promise and guarantee you that you won't have a dull moment when here!

And i must say that everyone that has ever visited our island ended up falling inlove with it, some of them even returned or are considering to do so. And by everyone i litterally mean everyone, including international artists like Juan Luis Guerra and Usher. Sooo, if you've been thinking about planning a trip but don't know where to travel to, then i suggest you to come visit us here. You'll find that the people here are very respectful, kind and welcoming and won't hesistate to assist you when needed. As i stated above there's much to do while staying on the island. So yeah! know that if you plan your trip correctly and link up with the right people, i guarantee you that you'll have a blast during your stay.

So, this was pretty much it for now! And i want to thank you for taking your time to read my post and in hopes that you liked and enjoyed doing so, because for me it always is and will be a pleasure to write for you!! And if you guys have any interest or suggestions on what i should write about, then feel free to leave a comment or email me.
